LASH LIFT & BROW LAMINATION FAQ’s

Am I a good candidate for a lash lift?

Eyelash Lift & Tint may not be suitable for clients who:

  • Have very few natural eyelashes or lack eyelashes entirely, as the gaps between lashes may become more noticeable.

  • Have pre-existing eye or eyelid conditions such as chronic dry eye, blepharitis, conjunctivitis, or ocular rosacea.

  • Have undergone Lasik surgery (it is recommended to wait a minimum of 6 months after the procedure).

  • Have Trichotillomania (a condition involving compulsive pulling or twisting of hair, eyebrows, and eyelashes).

  • Have very sensitive eyes or potential allergies to adhesive (it is advised to schedule a patch test appointment).

  • Handle their lashes roughly.

  • Are undergoing chemotherapy or have had chemotherapy treatments within the past year (it is recommended to consult with a physician).

  • Are sensitive or allergic to dyes (it is advised to schedule a patch test appointment).

  • Have had blepharoplasty surgery (it is necessary to wait a minimum of 1 year after the surgery).

Can I get a lash lift if I’m pregnant?

  • It is recommended to avoid getting lash lifts during the first trimester of pregnancy due to the higher hormonal changes and potential sensitivities experienced during this period.

How do I prepare for my lash lift appointment?

  • On the day of your appointment, please ensure you arrive without wearing contacts, concealer, or eye makeup (such as mascara, eyeliner, or eyeshadow). Avoid curling your natural lashes with a lash curler for 24 hours before your appointment.

Will I damage my natural lashes?

  • No, properly trained and skilled professionals follow correct lash lift procedures to prevent damage to your natural lashes.

Can I wear mascara after getting a lash lift?

  • Yes, you can wear mascara after getting a lash lift, but it is recommended to leave your lashes untouched for at least 24 hours post-treatment. While you may find that mascara is unnecessary due to the enhanced look, if you choose to use mascara, a non-waterproof formula is advised. Waterproof mascaras can be harsh on the lashes and may weaken the lift.

Can I get my lashes wet?

  • For the first 24 hours, it is recommended to clean the eye area with cold water. After this initial period, you can safely expose your lashes to hot showers, sauna visits, and water without any issues.

How long does a lash lift last?

  • The results of a lash lift typically last 6-8 weeks. This duration is due to the natural growth cycle of your eyelashes.
As your curled adult lashes age and shed within about 8 weeks, new baby lashes will grow in their place, returning your lashes to their natural state. Most clients opt to have their lashes re-lifted every 6-8 weeks. If your hair and nails grow rapidly, you may consider scheduling a lash lift closer to the 6-week mark.

How do I take care of my lashes?

  • Taking care of your lashes is simple! Clean them as you normally would and apply the Elleebana Elleeplex Aftercare serum provided during your first appointment on a daily basis to keep them in good condition.

I’ve had a bad lash lift from another place, can you fix it?

  • If you've recently experienced a bad lash lift, it is recommended to contact the lash studio that performed the service. They are familiar with the products and techniques used on you and should be able to rectify or reverse the issues. If you're considering trying a new place for a lash lift, it's advisable to wait 6-8 weeks after the previous lift to allow your lashes time to rest and grow out.

Can I use an eyelash curler after a lash lift?

  • Avoid using a mechanical or heated eyelash curler within the first 24 hours after a lash lift, as it could compromise the results and potentially harm your lashes.
